Laura is the heart behind The Remedy Cook, a holistic cooking and nutrition service that helps people reconnect with the healing power of food.
With a Diploma in Culinary Medicine and an NTEC in Nutrition in Culinary Practice from Leiths School of Food and Wine, Laura blends evidence based nutrition with delicious, real life cooking. Her approach is rooted in the belief that food can support both body and mind and that eating well shouldn't be overwhelming or restrictive, it should be enjoyable, empowering and sustainable.
Before launching The Remedy Cook, Laura worked in interior design while raising her family. Her creativity, eye for detail and love of caring for others all come through in her cooking, whether she's crafting a personalised meal plan, designing a menu for a retreat or guiding someone through a cooking workshop.
Laura works with people who want to eat in a way that enhances their health, whether they're managing a diagnosis like type 2 diabetes, struggling with digestion or fatigue or simply looking to feel more energised and in tune with their bodies. She supports clients alongside modern medicine, helping them to understand how food can enhance metabolic health, improve gut function, strengthen joints and bones, balance hormones and promote mental wellbeing.
Through The Remedy Cook, Laura offers:
Laura's philosophy is simple: food should be nourishing, enjoyable and accessible, good for your body and kind to your budget. She creates meals that are grounded in nutrition and full of flavour, proving that eating well doesn't have to be complicated or expensive.
